Is Sammy’s milk an infant formula?
No. The FDA defines infant formula as “a food which purports to be or is represented for special dietary use solely as a food for infants by reason of its simulation of human milk or its suitability as a complete or partial substitute for human milk.” Infants are defined as persons less than 12 months old. Sammy’s milk is a solution for toddlers, 12 months and older.
Again, todddlers need their parents to consult with their hopefully open-minded pediatrician who can read the nutrition label and the simplistic ingredients and get it.
Is Sammy’s milk approved by the FDA?
Sammy’s Milk is manufactured in compliance with all applicable FDA regulations for Toddler Formula. Our ingredients are classed as Generally Recognized As Safe (GRAS) by the FDA. We are not re-inventing the wheel – we are just presenting the simplest, cleanest version of it. The FDA has a copy of our label.
Do I need to further supplement my toddler?
Again, the clear theme – consult your doctor.
Does Sammy’s milk contain lactose?
Yes, but far less than cow’s milk. A softer curd is produced and again, easier to digest.
Does this contain pesticides? hormones?
No and no.
Is it pasteurized?
